Most of us women live in a male dominated society whereas women play a leading role in the management of the family. In an effort to increase the financial independence of women and bring them back to the mainstream and to improve the financial condition of the family through women. Mrs. Minu Mumtaj Begum organized a general meeting with some women of the village on 19.12.2015 and in discussion they decided to form a co-operative society and following the rules of establishment of co-operative society, the society got its name on 04.01.2016 under the name ‘Sonar Bangla Mahila Co-operative Credit Society Limited’.

A large part of the members of our society are economically poor. To overcome such type of circumstances Sonar Bangla Mahila Co-operative Credit Society Limited has been working With honesty to empower women financially through self-help group loans, Sonar Sathi loan and various handicraft trainings in a short span of time and continues to provide home banking facilities to thousands of members associated with the association.
